Non Formal Education

Since July 2,2007 we are successfully running a "Shiksha Kendra" in the heart of the slums behind Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi. We selected this area since no other organization is working here and despite a government primary school nearby some of the parents are unable to send their children.

Our aim is to provide non formal education, free of cost, to children and adults, especially girls and women, who have not had the opportunity to attend any school and are absolutely illiterate.

Later we also plan to start a vocational training centre for women so that they utilize their spare time usefully and also add to the home income.

We would be grateful to receive donations, either monetary or in kind, from people who share our enthusiasm to do something, for the underprivileged and needy.

Children's Day

On Children's Day,14th Nov 2008,we took about 50 slum children for an outing to "Adventure Island. "Rohini, New Delhi, here the kids enjoyed themselves very much.

Medical Camp

A medical camp was held in the slums at Hauz Khas on Jan 3,2009 where a lady doctor carried out basic medical check up of women and children.

Youth Counseling & Leadership Program
